          Obituary: MICHAEL L. GAUER, 58, died Nov. 1, 1999, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a senior
          programmer for MCI WorldCom. Mr. Gauer was born Dec. 6, 1940, in Milwaukee. He was married
          Jan. 26,1963,  to Natalie Ann Meissner.  He is survived by his wife; three sons, Michael Wade, Robert Colin
          and Jeffrey Scott; a daughter, Cristen Lee Whalen; his mother, Pearl P. Gauer; two brothers, Franklin M. Jr. and
          James L.; and a grandchild.
          A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of
          Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A dinner reception will be at Olympian Plaza Reception and Events
          Center, 975 S. Union Blvd., after the service. A memorial Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart
          Catholic Church, 2030 W. Colorado Ave. Private inurnment is planned.
