Mary F Barclay Whalen Obituary:

Whalen, Mary F. ALBANY -- Mary F. Whalen, 106, of Albany and formerly
a 65-year resident of Ravena, NY, died Monday, November 27, 2000 at
the Albany County Nursing Home, Colonie. Born on September 4, 1894 in
Bristol, RI, she was the daughter of the late Robert P. and Mary
(Ormiston) Barclay. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in
Ravena, the Catholic Daughters of America for 90 years and served one
term as its grand regent. She also belonged to the Ravena Senior
Citizens for many years. She was the wife of the late William R.
Whalen.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert P. Whalen of Rexford, NY and
William Whalen of Hudson, NY; five grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy
Phillips; and one grandson, Kevin Whalen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning,
November 29 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Ravena. Interment
will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Ravena. There will be no
calling hours.
Memorial contributions are requested to a charity of your choice, in
memory of Mary Whalen.
